Traditional Home Wine Cellars Library Style

Coastal Custom Wine Cellars is popular for its professionalism and specialization in designing unique wine rooms. Their innovative wine storage solutions cannot be underestimated when it comes to aesthetic appeal, quality, and affordability. They always make a thorough assessment and careful planning to exceed their client’s expectations.

Library-Style Wine Room: One of the Unique Traditional Home Wine Cellars Built by Coastal

In this project, Coastal Custom Wine cellars designed a big custom wine room like a library. They created “aisles,” which can be seen in a traditional library. Upon entering this unique traditional home wine cellar, you will go through multiple arched passages before reaching the area where the lattice arch display, tabletop, and sink are located.

The Coastal team installed floor-to-ceiling wine racks (10 feet high) that can accommodate up to 4,086 bottles of various sizes. They designed most of the racking with wooden cases for bulk storage. They added wine cellar rolling ladders for the owners to access the bottles located high above the racking. There are custom niches where the ladders can be stored when not in use. The racking design also consists of horizontal wine bottle displays for 750ml, 1.5L, 3L, and 6L bottles.

Coastal used Malaysian Mahogany for the wine racks. The wood’s high resistance to humidity and warping makes it ideal for climate-controlled wine rooms. In this project, the wood wine racks were applied with a non-aromatic stain and a lacquer top coat to achieve a lustrous finish.

Elegant Residential Custom Wine Cellar Built in a Small Storage Room

Coastal Custom Wine Cellars transformed a storage room in the client’s garage into a simple yet elegant wine cellar with tastefully designed wood wine racks. The racking on the right wall features a lattice arch display with a tabletop where the owners can serve and drink their favorite wine. Both sides of the stylish arch opening consist of individual wine racks and high-reveal display rows that pitch the angles at an angle. There is a grill cover for the wine cooling unit evaporator on the top right of the racking. Below the tabletop are individual wine racks and diamond X bins.

The back and left walls have the same racking configurations consisting of single bottle storage and high-reveal display rows.

Traditional Wine Rooms by Vintage Cellars

Vintage Cellars is another top-notch builder of traditional wine cellars in California. They have transformed spaced into exceptional wine rooms with a classic appeal. Their team aims to create wine storage facilities designed for long-term storage and to increase the aesthetic value of homes.   For references, check out some of their sophisticated traditional home wine cellar installation displays in Orange County, California!

Wow-Worthy Home Wine Cellar with Luxurious Features

Anyone who sees this wine display and storage area in an elegant home will be amazed. The design was carefully thought out to highlight 3,000 vintages in the client’s collection.

One of the attractive features of this traditional-style wine room is the center island with a glass top, allowing you to enjoy the wine display while drinking your favorite glass of wine. Moreover, Vintage Cellars added drawers on the sides of the island display to provide access to the wines stored in it. It has sleek glass shelving and acrylic racking dividers that add character to the wine cellar. The wooden case storage is dominant in this wine cellar to store wines in bulk.

Since the wine racks are as high as the ceiling, Vintage Cellars installed a rolling hook ladder.  It comes with a rail so it can be moved easily from left to right and vice versa on a particular wall. It can also be lifted off the rail if you want to transfer it to another wall.

Other functional features of the racking are the custom rolling shelves, horizontal display racks for large format bottles, and individual wine racks. The wine racks were made from black walnut, applied with a clear lacquer finish.

Impressive Traditional Wine Rack Design

Another residential wine cellar with wooden racking was constructed by Vintage Cellars using traditional elements. The irregular shape of the wine room did not hinder them from creating a stunning wine display. The skilled and knowledgeable team deals with odd-shaped spaces very well by determining the client’s requirements and considering the essential factor in designing wine rooms.

The space was huge, but the homeowners did not want to fill it completely. Quantity was not their priority. You will be greeted by a large marble countertop installed at the center of the wine cellar, intended to provide a convenient space for decanting wines. It has 2-door cabinets to provide storage for wine accessories.

Custom wine racking was installed in the front and rear walls of the wine room. The ample space allows the owners and their guests to walk around the sophisticated custom wine cellar.

The top racking, which sits on a marble countertop, consists of a lattice rectangular opening, individual wine racks, and display rows. Vintage Cellars added a stemware wine rack on the back wall to provide easy access to the wine glasses.

The racking at the bottom has various configurations, including rectangular openings, single bottle storage racks, and a double-door cabinet. The unfinished Redwood wine racks look beautiful against the gray wall of the wine cellar.
